Ceremony at GHQ commemorates 104th anniversary of Turkish Armed Forces Victory Day
RAWALPINDI, Monday, August 31, 2026 (WNP): A ceremony commemorating the 104th anniversary of Turkish Armed Forces Victory Day was held at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, reaffirming the enduring bonds of brotherhood and close defence relations between Pakistan and Türkiye.
Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan İrfan Neziroğlu graced the ceremony as the Guest of Honour.
The ceremony highlighted the longstanding Pakistan-Türkiye relationship, rooted in shared values, mutual respect and a history of steadfast support for each other.

On the occasion, participants paid tribute to the valour and sacrifices of the Turkish Armed Forces and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the two countries’ longstanding defence and strategic partnership.
The event was attended by military officers, officials of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye and other distinguished guests.
The ceremony concluded with warm expressions of goodwill for the people and Armed Forces of the Republic of Türkiye, underscoring the depth of the fraternal ties between the two countries.
