RIYADH, Monday, October 27, 2025 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level meeting with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman on the sidelines of the 9th Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh, where the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors, including trade, investment, energy, defense, and manpower, as well as exploring new opportunities for collaboration in line with the evolving regional and global economic landscape.

During the meeting, both leaders emphasized the importance of transforming strategic relations into actionable economic outcomes that contribute to mutual prosperity and regional stability.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and senior cabinet members from both countries.

On the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban, Advisor at the Royal Court Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, President of the General Intelligence Presidency Khalid Al-Humaidan, Secretary to the Crown Prince Dr. Bandar Al-Rasheed, and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki.

The engagement underscored the deep-rooted ties between Islamabad and Riyadh, founded on shared faith, mutual respect, and a common vision for peace, stability, and development in the region.

Both leaders expressed their determination to further strengthen economic and investment linkages, including through the upcoming Saudi investment projects in Pakistan, which are expected to play a vital role in supporting Pakistan’s economic revival and regional connectivity goals.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of continued high-level consultations and cooperation, marking another milestone in the enduring friendship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
