RAWALPINDI, Saturday, July 19, 2025 (WNP): The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) earned international acclaim by securing two prestigious trophies at the world-renowned Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025 in the United Kingdom, reaffirming its place among the world’s top air forces.

According to a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), PAF’s cutting-edge JF-17 Thunder Block-III—making its debut appearance at RIAT—was honoured with the “Spirit of the Meet” Trophy, an accolade awarded to the aircraft that best exemplifies the ethos, passion, and excitement of the airshow. This recognition not only celebrates the aircraft’s operational and technological prowess but also shines a spotlight on Pakistan’s fast-growing aviation capabilities.

In another moment of distinction, PAF’s C-130H Hercules, featuring a specially designed “Eyes in the Skies” livery, won the “Concours d’Elegance” Trophy for being the best-maintained and most aesthetically presented aircraft at the event.

PAF’s participation was equally praised during the Air Chiefs’ Conference at RIAT-2025, where the professionalism of the Pakistani contingent and the striking appearance of its aircraft were lauded by global air force leaders.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, congratulated the PAF team on the dual victory, stating, “Keeping the nation’s flag flying high has always been the hallmark of the Pakistan Air Force. These accolades are a testament to our professionalism, technical expertise, and unwavering pursuit of excellence.”

This year’s success builds on PAF’s legacy at RIAT, where it previously won honours in 2006, 2016, and 2018, further bolstering its international reputation as a world-class air arm.

The stellar performance of the PAF at RIAT-2025 stands as a source of national pride, highlighting Pakistan’s enduring commitment to aviation excellence on the global stage.
