PM Shehbaz reiterates Pakistan’s condemnation of Israeli aggression against Iran

ISLAMABAD, Monday, June 16, 2025 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the recent Israeli military strikes on Iran, expressing deep sympathies over the loss of innocent civilian lives.

The prime minister conveyed these sentiments during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, on the sidelines of the Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference, according to a statement issued by the PM Office Media Wing.

Addressing the broader regional context, Prime Minister Shehbaz assured the Iranian envoy of Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Iranian government and its people amid the escalating tensions in the region.

Referring to his recent telephone conversation with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the prime minister underscored Pakistan’s support for Iran at the recent United Nations Security Council meeting. He emphasized that the Israeli strikes constituted a blatant violation of the UN Charter and international law.

The meeting highlighted Islamabad’s diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability in the region, while reiterating its principled stance against unilateral use of force.
