During the meeting, held in Islamabad, both sides reaffirmed the enduring and brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia—rooted in shared history, religious affinity, and deep economic ties. It was mutually agreed that the strong partnership between the two nations remains vital for regional stability and the long-term prosperity of both countries.

Minister Abbasi described Saudi Arabia as a “key strategic partner” of Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of further elevating bilateral relations through enhanced collaboration, particularly in infrastructure and trade. He underscored the significant contributions of millions of Pakistani expatriates working in the Kingdom, whose remittances are a cornerstone of Pakistan’s economy.

Highlighting the spiritual connection between the two countries, the minister also noted the annual pilgrimage of Hajj and Umrah by thousands of Pakistani citizens as a powerful symbol of the religious bond.

In a bid to strengthen economic ties, the minister placed particular emphasis on enhancing cooperation in the railway sector, which he said could play a pivotal role in boosting regional connectivity and economic integration. He invited Saudi investment in Pakistan’s railway infrastructure, trade corridors, and public-private partnerships.

Ambassador Al-Malki reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s development and expressed keen interest in expanding cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, and public welfare initiatives. He reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to deepening economic and strategic engagement with Pakistan.
