Saudi envoy meets DPM Ishaq Dar; Riyadh welcomes Pakistan-India ceasefire understanding

ISLAMABAD, Monday, May 12, 2025 (WNP): Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malkiy on Monday called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar to discuss matters of mutual interest and regional developments.

According to a statement from the Foreign Office, the two dignitaries reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further deepening the long-standing fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia across all domains.

In a separate development earlier in the day, Senator Ishaq Dar received a telephone call from Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Aljubeir, who welcomed the recent ceasefire understanding between Pakistan and India.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued support and its constructive role in fostering peace and stability in South Asia, the Foreign Office added.
