Prince Abdullah bin Bandar to inaugurate three-day summit bringing together global experts, researchers, innovators, investors and policymakers
RIYADH, Thursday, September 10, 2026 (WNP): The fourth Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit (RGMBS) will open in Riyadh on Monday under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Biocentral Foundation.
Minister of National Guard and Board Member of the Riyadh Biocentral Foundation, Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, will inaugurate the summit, which will be held from September 14 to 16.
The RGMBS will bring together leading experts, researchers, innovators, investors and policymakers from around the world to discuss the latest developments in medical biotechnology and explore the sector’s future prospects.
The Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs said the Crown Prince’s patronage reflects the leadership’s strong commitment to and support for the medical biotechnology sector. It also underscores the summit’s important role in strengthening the Kingdom’s position on the global innovation map.
The summit will highlight advances in medical biotechnology research and development within the Kingdom’s national ecosystem, while creating broader opportunities for international cooperation and high-quality strategic partnerships.
The RGMBS aims to further strengthen Riyadh’s position as a global hub for medical biotechnology innovation by showcasing the latest technologies and innovations and exploring promising investment opportunities in the sector.
The summit will also provide a platform for cooperation among scientific experts, research institutions and global companies, while highlighting coordination and integration among various government sectors.
These efforts are intended to support the continued growth of the medical biotechnology sector and expand its economic and healthcare impact, in line with the objectives of the National Biotechnology Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
The summit will provide an international platform for researchers, innovators and industry leaders to exchange expertise, examine emerging technologies and identify new opportunities for collaboration and investment.
Through stronger links between scientific institutions, healthcare organizations, government entities and international companies, the event seeks to contribute to the development of an integrated biotechnology ecosystem in the Kingdom.
The Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit is organized by the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), and the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), in partnership with the Ministry of Investment.
The three-day summit is expected to serve as a major platform for advancing medical biotechnology research, innovation and investment, supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to become a leading global destination for biotechnology and healthcare innovation.
