ISLAMABAD, Monday, August 3, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, to discuss bilateral ties and key regional and international developments.

According to the Foreign Office, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on the evolving regional and global situation, with particular focus on the deteriorating conditions in Occupied East Jerusalem.

During the conversation, both leaders reaffirmed the importance of continued consultations and close coordination on issues of mutual interest, reflecting the longstanding and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran.

Senator Dar also extended an invitation to Foreign Minister Araghchi to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience, underscoring Islamabad’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral diplomatic engagement and cooperation.

The interaction forms part of the ongoing high-level contacts between Pakistan and Iran aimed at enhancing political dialogue, regional coordination and cooperation on matters of shared concern.
