President Zardari conclude Kyrgyz visit, returns to Pakistan

BISHKEK, Thursday, July 9, 2026 (WNP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday concluded his four-day official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic and departed for Pakistan from Manas International Airport, marking the end of a historic tour that was the first by a President of Pakistan to the Central Asian country in 21 years.

At the airport, Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Marlen Mamataliyev bade farewell to President Zardari on behalf of the Kyrgyz leadership.

The visit underscored the shared commitment of Pakistan and the Kyrgyz Republic to further strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing political dialogue, expanding economic cooperation and promoting regional connectivity.

During his stay, President Zardari held high-level meetings with the Kyrgyz leadership and participated in official engagements aimed at broadening cooperation in areas of mutual interest and reinforcing the longstanding friendship between the two countries.

The landmark visit is expected to provide renewed momentum to Pakistan-Kyrgyz relations and deepen collaboration across trade, investment, connectivity, tourism and people-to-people exchanges, while reaffirming both countries’ commitment to regional peace, stability and sustainable development.
