ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, July 8, 2026 (WNP): Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting regional peace, dialogue and diplomacy, while pledging to further deepen their longstanding strategic partnership across all areas of mutual interest.
The reaffirmation came during a meeting between Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Ahmad Al-Malki and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest regional developments following the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and underscored the importance of sustaining collective diplomatic efforts to advance dialogue, de-escalation and peaceful resolution of regional issues.
Ambassador Al-Malki conveyed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s appreciation for Pakistan’s continued contributions to regional peace and security, particularly through the R-4 initiative and Islamabad’s leading role in facilitating dialogue that culminated in the signing of the Islamabad MoU.

The two leaders emphasized that sustained diplomatic engagement and constructive cooperation remain essential for addressing regional challenges and promoting lasting peace and stability.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the deep-rooted Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relationship, expanding bilateral cooperation in political, economic, strategic and regional affairs in line with the shared interests of the two brotherly countries.
The meeting reflected the enduring partnership between Islamabad and Riyadh and their common resolve to work closely in advancing regional stability, mutual prosperity and international cooperation through dialogue and diplomacy.
