ISLAMABAD, Monday, June 29, 2026 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed profound grief over the tragic helicopter crash in Ras Tanura, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which claimed the lives of 14 Saudi nationals.
In a message of condolence, the prime minister said he was deeply saddened by the tragic accident and extended heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan.
“On behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the bereaved families, and the brotherly people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” the prime minister said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom during this difficult time.
“Pakistan stands in full solidarity with our Saudi brothers and sisters in this hour of grief,” he said.
The helicopter, operated by Saudi Aramco, crashed near Ras Tanura on Sunday morning, resulting in the deaths of all 14 Saudi nationals on board. Saudi authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
The tragedy has prompted an outpouring of condolences from Pakistan’s leadership, reflecting the longstanding brotherly ties and close strategic partnership between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
