Saudi Arabia showcases premium dates, expands global market presence at New York food exhibition

NEW YORK, Monday, June 29, 2026 (WNP): Saudi Arabia is showcasing its finest locally produced premium dates and a wide range of value-added date products at the Summer Fancy Food Show 2026 in New York, reinforcing the Kingdom’s growing position as one of the world’s leading exporters of dates and highlighting the success of its agricultural diversification strategy under Saudi Vision 2030.

Participating as the Partner Country, Saudi Arabia is represented by Saudi Dates at the international exhibition, being held from June 28 to 30 in New York City, with the participation of 50 countries and more than 2,400 exhibitors. The event is expected to attract over 30,000 visitors from around the world.

The Kingdom’s participation features an extensive display of premium Saudi date varieties and innovative value-added products that have secured a strong foothold in major international markets and continue to enjoy growing consumer demand worldwide.

According to the National Center for Palms and Dates, the participation of several Saudi date companies provides a strategic platform to promote Saudi products, expand business opportunities and facilitate their entry into the lucrative United States market.

The center said the exhibition also offers an opportunity to highlight the superior quality, exceptional nutritional value and international competitiveness of Saudi dates, while strengthening their presence at specialized global trade events.

It noted that the Kingdom’s participation reflects the increasing importance of the palm and date sector in supporting Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification efforts and advancing the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to enhance non-oil exports and promote sustainable agricultural development.

Saudi Arabia has witnessed remarkable growth in its palm and date industry in recent years, with annual production reaching nearly two million metric tons.

Saudi dates are now exported to more than 125 countries, while the total value of date exports has approached SAR 2 billion, underscoring the sector’s expanding contribution to the national economy and its growing international competitiveness.
