Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi arrives in Islamabad with President Pezeshkian’s delegation

ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, June 23,, 2026 (WNP): Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday as part of the high-level delegation accompanying President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, on his state visit to Pakistan.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received Foreign Minister Araghchi upon his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, where he extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation.

President Pezeshkian’s state visit is aimed at further strengthening the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Iran and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, connectivity, regional security and diplomatic engagement.

Pakistan and Iran enjoy deep-rooted ties founded on shared history, common faith, cultural affinity and longstanding people-to-people links. The two neighbouring countries maintain close cooperation on bilateral, regional and international issues.
