WASHINGTON, Wednesday, April 15, 2026 (WNP): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb addressed the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) and Remittance Roadshow — Pakistan Diaspora Leaders’ Evening — held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C., highlighting the vital role of overseas Pakistanis in strengthening the country’s economy.
The event was organized with the support of the State Bank of Pakistan and the Pakistan Banks’ Association.

In his address, the finance minister paid tribute to the Pakistani diaspora for their invaluable contributions, describing them as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s external resilience, particularly through remittances.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the Roshan Digital Account scheme, noting that even during the peak of Pakistan’s balance of payments crisis — when foreign exchange reserves had dropped to critically low levels — no restrictions were imposed on RDA deposits.

Aurangzeb also welcomed new features and enhancements introduced to the RDA platform, which have expanded investment opportunities for overseas Pakistanis. He encouraged expatriates to take full advantage of these options and invest in Pakistan’s economy.
The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, reflecting strong engagement from diaspora leaders.
