MOSCOW, Monday, April 13, 2026 (WNP): Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a telephone conversation on Monday, reaffirming their readiness to contribute to efforts aimed at a peaceful settlement of the ongoing crisis triggered by the US-Israeli attack on Iran.

According to diplomatic sources, both leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and stressed the importance of coordinated diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.

The two sides emphasized their commitment to supporting initiatives focused on dialogue and de-escalation, underscoring that a negotiated solution remains the only viable path to resolving the conflict.
