Dar meets Chinese envoy, discusses post-Islamabad Talks developments; Beijing lauds Pakistan’s diplomatic role

ISLAMABAD, Monday, April 13, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday received Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, with discussions focusing on recent developments following the Islamabad Talks.

During the meeting, Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued commitment to promoting dialogue and diplomacy as the primary means to ensure regional peace and stability.

Ambassador Jiang commended Pakistan’s important role in facilitating direct talks between the United States and Iran, recognizing Islamabad’s efforts in advancing diplomatic engagement.

Both sides also reaffirmed the strength of the Pakistan–China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, underscoring their shared resolve to further deepen bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

The meeting reflects ongoing close coordination between Islamabad and China on regional and international developments.
