ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, March 25, 2026 (WNP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, during which he briefed him on Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic outreach aimed at de-escalation and resolving differences through dialogue and diplomacy.
According to an official statement, the “warm and cordial” conversation took place early Wednesday morning, during which the Saudi Crown Prince appreciated Pakistan’s ongoing peace efforts and diplomatic engagement with relevant parties.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s strong condemnation of recent attacks on Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Islamabad’s complete solidarity and unequivocal support for the Kingdom and its people in the face of current challenges.
He also appreciated the Saudi leadership for demonstrating restraint during the crisis, assuring the Crown Prince that Pakistan would continue to stand firmly with Saudi Arabia, just as the Kingdom has consistently supported Pakistan “through thick and thin.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the urgent need for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a return to normalcy to stabilize the regional situation. He further stressed the importance of unity and harmony within the Muslim Ummah, noting that collective cohesion was more critical than ever.
During the conversation, the Prime Minister conveyed heartfelt Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, and the people of Saudi Arabia. The Crown Prince reciprocated the sentiments, extending his own Eid greetings to the leadership and people of Pakistan.
The exchange reflects the close and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, as well as their shared commitment to regional peace, stability, and mutual cooperation.
