ISLAMABAD, Monday, October 6, 2025 (WNP): A high-level parliamentary delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council, led by Chairman Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, arrived in Islamabad on Monday on a special invitation from Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
The visit reflects the enduring and multifaceted partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, anchored in shared faith, mutual respect, and a common vision for regional peace and prosperity.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq received the delegation at the Parliament House, where Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki was also present. To mark the occasion, the Parliament House was illuminated in green — symbolizing solidarity and friendship with the Kingdom, which Pakistani officials described as a “brotherly Islamic nation.”
During its stay, the Saudi delegation is scheduled to hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir.
The discussions will center on enhancing parliamentary cooperation, expanding bilateral engagement, and fostering joint efforts for peace, stability, and development across the region.
“The visit reflects the shared values and enduring partnership between our two nations,” Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said in a statement. “It provides an opportunity to deepen parliamentary collaboration and further strengthen the bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.”

The Shura Council delegation’s visit comes amid renewed momentum in Pakistan–Saudi relations, as both countries continue to explore avenues for cooperation in political, economic, and cultural spheres.
