ISLAMABAD, Saturday, August 30, 2025 (WNP): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday visited Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki and expressed deep gratitude to the Kingdom for its consistent and brotherly support to Pakistan, particularly during times of tension with India.
He noted that Saudi Arabia had always stood firmly by Pakistan “whether in war or peace,” underscoring the resilience of their bilateral relations over the decades.
The interior minister also briefed the Saudi envoy on Pakistan’s crackdown against organized groups involved in sending people abroad to beg, especially in Saudi Arabia.
He stressed that the government had adopted a strict zero-tolerance policy against the so-called “begging mafia” to safeguard Pakistan’s reputation and protect the dignity of its citizens working in the Kingdom.
Ambassador Al-Malki lauded Pakistan’s efforts and reaffirmed Riyadh’s commitment to its “brotherly and friendly” ties with Islamabad. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia attaches the highest importance to its relationship with Pakistan and looks forward to expanding cooperation across political, social, economic, and security spheres.
