Saudi Crown Prince, Iranian FM hold key talks to advance regional peace, strengthen bilateral ties

JEDDAH, Tuesday, July 8, 2025 (WNP): Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Tuesday met with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi and his accompanying delegation at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah in a significant step towards strengthening Saudi-Iranian ties and promoting regional stability.

During the high-level talks, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on the latest regional developments. The Crown Prince reiterated the Kingdom’s hope that the recently agreed ceasefire would help create conditions conducive to long-term peace and security in the region. He emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.

Dr. Araghchi expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom’s firm stance against Israeli aggression and praised the Crown Prince’s initiatives for fostering regional peace and stability.

The meeting was attended by key Saudi officials, including Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban.

Separately, Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman also held a bilateral meeting with Dr. Araghchi at his office in Jeddah. The two officials discussed avenues for enhancing cooperation, reviewed regional security dynamics, and explored issues of mutual interest with a view to supporting regional and global stability.

The meetings underscore a growing momentum in Saudi-Iranian diplomatic engagement amid shifting geopolitical currents in the Middle East.
