RIYADH, Saturday, June 14, 2025 (WNP): Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud strongly condemned Israel’s recent attacks on Iran during a phone call with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday, calling the strikes a violation of international law and a serious threat to regional stability.

During the conversation, the Crown Prince expressed deep condolences and sympathy to President Pezeshkian, the Iranian people, and the families of those killed in the Israeli assaults. He also wished a swift recovery for the injured.

Reiterating the Kingdom’s firm stance, the Crown Prince denounced the attacks as a breach of Iran’s sovereignty and security, stating they contravened international norms and laws. He warned that such acts of aggression had derailed ongoing efforts for diplomatic dialogue and de-escalation in the region.

“These attacks hinder the path to peaceful resolution and undermine the broader pursuit of regional stability,” the Crown Prince said, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s rejection of force as a means to resolve disputes and emphasizing the necessity of dialogue and diplomacy.

President Pezeshkian, in response, conveyed his appreciation for the Crown Prince’s solidarity and the Kingdom’s principled position in opposing the Israeli strikes. He also thanked Saudi Arabia for its continued facilitation and care for Iranian pilgrims during their stay in the Kingdom.

The Crown Prince, in turn, extended gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for ensuring the welfare and safety of Iranian pilgrims throughout their journey.

The phone call reflects the ongoing thaw in Saudi-Iranian relations and Riyadh’s growing role as a regional mediator advocating for diplomatic solutions over military escalation.
