Russian Embassy announces polling stations in Islamabad and Karachi; eligible citizens aged 18 and above can vote without prior registration on September 20
ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (WNP): The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Pakistan has invited Russian citizens residing or temporarily staying in Pakistan to participate in the elections for deputies to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the ninth convocation, scheduled for September 20, 2026.
According to the Embassy, Russian citizens aged 18 and above will be able to cast their votes at one of two designated polling stations in Pakistan.
Polling station No. 8250 will be established at the Embassy of Russia in Islamabad, located in the Diplomatic Enclave, Khayaban-e-Suhrawardi Street, G-4.
The polling station will remain open on September 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time.
Polling station No. 8251 will operate at the Consulate General of Russia in Karachi, located at Plot No. FL-1, Block 4, Area 5, Clifton. The operating hours for the Karachi polling station will be announced later through the Consulate General’s official digital platforms.
The Embassy said preliminary registration is not required for voting.
On election day, voters will be required to present an original document certifying their identity as a Russian citizen abroad, including a foreign, service or diplomatic passport, or a return certificate.

The election will enable eligible Russian citizens in Pakistan to exercise their voting rights in the ninth-convocation State Duma elections.
