ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 (WNP): Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday expressed profound gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for extending timely humanitarian assistance to Pakistan in the aftermath of devastating floods.
Speaking at a press briefing at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Sanaullah commended Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support, noting that the Kingdom has always stood beside Pakistan in times of hardship.
The event was attended by Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Bin Said Al-Maliki, Federal Secretary for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Yasir Pirzada, and other senior officials.
Sanaullah particularly acknowledged the role of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), which has dispatched a large-scale emergency convoy comprising 10,000 shelter kits and an equal number of food packages for flood-affected families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Each shelter kit includes solar panels with LED lights, thermal blankets, plastic mats, kitchen sets, water coolers, and antibacterial soap. The food packages, weighing 95 kilograms each, contain wheat flour, sugar, lentils, and cooking oil—carefully tailored to meet families’ immediate nutritional needs.
The Advisor extended appreciation to Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi government, and Ambassador Al-Maliki for their consistent solidarity with Pakistan.
He further emphasized that the Government of Pakistan values the support of Saudi Arabia and other friendly nations, highlighting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to flood-hit districts as evidence of the government’s commitment to rehabilitation.
Sanaullah, who also heads the Ministry of IPC, assured that the relief distribution would be carried out transparently by the NDMA, district administration, and the KP government, and pledged that assistance will continue until complete recovery of the affected communities.
