Prime Minister Shehbaz embarks on three-nation visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Türkiye

ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, April 15, 2026 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has departed on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Türkiye from 15 to 18 April 2026, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and exchanging views on regional peace and security.

According to the Foreign Office, the Prime Minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.

During his visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold meetings with the respective leadership of both countries. The discussions will focus on enhancing bilateral relations, expanding cooperation in various sectors, and reviewing the evolving regional situation, particularly matters related to peace and stability.

The visit also underscores Pakistan’s continued engagement with key regional partners amid shifting geopolitical developments.

Following the bilateral engagements, the Prime Minister will travel to Türkiye to participate in the Fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum. At the forum, he will join the Leaders Panel, where he will present Pakistan’s perspective on key global and regional issues alongside other world leaders.

On the sidelines of the forum, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to hold bilateral meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as well as other senior international leaders. The meetings are expected to focus on strengthening Pakistan–Türkiye relations and discussing cooperation on regional and global challenges.

The three-nation visit reflects Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic outreach to deepen engagement with friendly countries and contribute to dialogue on peace, security, and development in the broader region.
