SHAOSHAN, Tuesday, April 28, 2026 (WNP): President Asif Ali Zardari visited Shaoshan, the hometown of Mao Zedong, where he laid a wreath at the statue of the revered Chinese revolutionary leader and paid rich tribute to his legacy.

During the visit, the President also toured the Mao Zedong Memorial Museum, gaining insight into China’s revolutionary history and the life and contributions of Chairman Mao.

The visit underscored the enduring historical bonds between Pakistan and China, as well as mutual respect for each other’s national heroes and heritage.
