President Zardari urges stronger trade, economic, cultural ties with Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Austria & Germany

ISLAMABAD, Friday, August 22, 2025 (WNP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday called for further enhancing Pakistan’s bilateral cooperation with Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Austria, and Germany in areas of mutual interest, particularly trade, economy, and culture.

He expressed these views while receiving the diplomatic credentials of the High Commissioner-designate of Sri Lanka and the Ambassadors-designate of Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Austria, and Germany at a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Those who presented their credentials included Rear-Admiral H.L.A. Don Fred Senevirante, High Commissioner-designate of Sri Lanka; Chandra Warsenanto, Ambassador-designate of Indonesia and Chairman of ASEAN Countries; Kylychbek Sultan, Ambassador-designate of Kyrgyzstan; Wolfgang Oliver Kutschera, Ambassador-designate of Austria; and Ina Ruth Luise Lepel, Ambassador-designate of Germany.

Upon arrival, the envoys were accorded a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of Pakistan’s Armed Forces before formally assuming their diplomatic assignments.

President Zardari welcomed the envoys and assured them of Pakistan’s commitment to deepening mutually beneficial relations with their respective countries.
