ISLAMABAD, Friday, July 2025 (WNP): Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday to discuss avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation, with a focus on trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
During the meeting, President Zardari welcomed the ambassador and reaffirmed the longstanding and fraternal relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He described the bond as one rooted in shared faith, mutual respect, and historic ties, stressing the importance of deepening cooperation for the collective prosperity of both nations.
Highlighting Pakistan’s investor-friendly climate, President Zardari invited Saudi investors to explore the country’s diverse economic sectors, including energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and tourism. He said greater Saudi investment would help further bolster economic ties and bring the people of both countries closer.
The president also appreciated Riyadh’s unwavering support to Pakistan in times of economic and humanitarian need, expressing gratitude for the Kingdom’s continued solidarity. He acknowledged the two nations’ aligned positions on key regional and international matters and their cooperation at various multilateral forums.
President Zardari requested the ambassador to convey his warm regards and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also attended the meeting. The two sides reiterated their shared commitment to elevating bilateral engagement through sustained dialogue and collaboration across multiple sectors.
