ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 (WNP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday conveyed warm felicitations to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and to the people of Iran on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

In a message addressed to the Iranian leadership, the president highlighted the deep-rooted and enduring ties between Pakistan and Iran, noting that the relationship is founded on shared history, language, culture and geographic proximity.

According to a statement issued by the Presidency, he said these bonds have continued to grow stronger and more vibrant over the years, reflecting the spirit of mutual respect and brotherhood between the two neighboring countries.

President Zardari expressed confidence that Pakistan-Iran relations would continue to flourish in the years ahead, contributing not only to the prosperity and stability of both nations but also to peace and harmony across the wider region.

He also extended his best wishes for the good health and well-being of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and offered prayers for continued peace, progress and prosperity for the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
