President Zardari arrives in UAE on four-day visit to strengthen strategic, economic ties

ABU DHABI, Monday, January 26, 2026 (WNP): President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Abu Dhabi on Monday on a four-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates, aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation across key sectors.

Upon arrival at the Presidential Flight Terminal of Zayed International Airport, President Zardari was received by UAE Minister of Justice Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi. Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE Shafqat Ali Khan was also present at the reception.

The President is accompanied by First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi.

During the visit, which will continue until January 29, 2026, President Zardari is scheduled to hold meetings with the UAE leadership to review the full spectrum of bilateral relations.

Discussions are expected to focus on enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, economic partnership, defence and security collaboration, as well as strengthening people-to-people contacts.

The visit underscores the longstanding brotherly ties and strategic partnership between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, reflecting the shared commitment of both countries to further expand cooperation for mutual benefit and regional stability.
