ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 (WNP): President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, will arrive in Pakistan on Tuesday on an official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, leading a high-level delegation to further strengthen bilateral relations and convey the goodwill of the Iranian government and people.
According to a press release issued by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad, President Pezeshkian’s visit reflects the close brotherly ties between Pakistan and Iran and follows a year marked by solidarity, mutual support and Pakistan’s sincere diplomatic efforts to help de-escalate regional tensions and promote peace and stability.

The embassy said the Iranian president would convey the message of the Government and people of Iran to the Government and people of Pakistan, acknowledging Pakistan’s constructive mediation efforts and its role in advancing regional peace through dialogue and diplomacy.
During the visit, the two sides are expected to review the entire spectrum of Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations and discuss measures to further expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The discussions will also focus on strengthening the longstanding brotherly relationship between the two neighbouring countries and elevating bilateral cooperation to new heights across political, economic, trade, regional and people-to-people spheres.
President Pezeshkian’s visit comes at a significant time as both countries continue to enhance diplomatic engagement and cooperation aimed at promoting regional peace, stability and shared prosperity.
