ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, November 11, 2025 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday emphasized the urgent need for collective global action to advance peace, security, and development while addressing the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) in Islamabad.

Highlighting the significance of the conference’s theme — Peace, Security, and Development — the Prime Minister described it as both timely and deeply relevant amid the complex global challenges confronting nations today.

He commended Senate Chairman Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani for his leadership and vision in organizing the landmark conference, which he said demonstrated Pakistan’s commitment to promoting dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among parliaments across the world.

During the event, Chairman Gilani presented a commemorative shield to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in recognition of his participation and support.

The conference brought together distinguished parliamentarians and delegates from multiple countries, reaffirming Pakistan’s belief in parliamentary diplomacy as a vital tool for achieving global peace, inclusive growth, and sustainable development.
