ISLAMABAD, Thursday, October 16, 2025 (WNP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday lauded the Muslim World League (MWL) for its vital global role in promoting the true image of Islam and advancing the collective interests of the Muslim Ummah.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Secretary General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, who called on him in Islamabad.

Welcoming Dr. Al-Issa to Pakistan, the prime minister praised his visionary and wise leadership, noting that the MWL has emerged as a leading platform for promoting mutual respect, interfaith harmony, and understanding among different religions and civilizations.
The prime minister particularly appreciated the international conference on the education of women and girls in the Muslim world, organized earlier this year in collaboration with the MWL. He described it as a highly commendable initiative and assured that Pakistan would extend all possible cooperation in hosting such meaningful events in the future.

He also commended Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries for their constructive role in achieving the Gaza peace agreement and for raising a strong voice at the international level in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.
Dr. Al-Issa thanked the prime minister for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him during his visit and appreciated Pakistan’s continued support for MWL’s global initiatives.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki.
