ISLAMABAD, Saturday, June 14, 2025 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversations on Saturday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss the escalating regional tensions following Israel’s recent military actions.
In a series of posts on X, the prime minister said he spoke with President Erdogan about the “grave regional situation” triggered by Israel’s “unprovoked aggression” against Iran.
Both leaders agreed that such actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and pose a serious threat to regional peace.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also condemned Israel’s ongoing brutality in Palestine and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace and multilateral diplomacy, including its role at the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He praised President Erdogan’s leadership and congratulated him on receiving an honor from the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum.
Both leaders agreed that the international community — particularly the Muslim Ummah — must act collectively to halt these serious violations and preserve peace in the region.
