Pakistan storms into final of Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025

JEONJU-SI, Thursday, July 3, 2025 (WNP): Pakistan’s youth girls netball team advanced to the final of the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025 after a commanding 64-39 victory over Japan in the semifinal held at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium in Jeonju-si, South Korea.

Displaying exceptional teamwork and athletic prowess, the Pakistani squad dominated from the outset, maintaining a steady lead across all four quarters of the match. The quarter-wise breakdown of the match stood as follows:

  • 1st Quarter: Pakistan 21 – Japan 7
  • 2nd Quarter: Pakistan 34 – Japan 19
  • 3rd Quarter: Pakistan 42 – Japan 28
  • Final Score: Pakistan 64 – Japan 39

Key players including Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Sumayya Kouser, Haleema, Jasmine Farooq, Amani, Parisa, and Farah Rasheed delivered standout performances that steered the team to victory, according to a statement issued by the Pakistan Netball Federation.

Chairman of the Federation Mudassar Arian, President Sameen Malik, and Secretary General Muhammad Riaz congratulated the national team on their impressive semifinal win and extended best wishes for the final.

Pakistan will now face either Maldives or Chinese Taipei in the championship final scheduled for Friday, July 4.

Organized under the auspices of the Asian Netball Federation, the championship kicked off on June 27 and will conclude on July 4, featuring emerging netball talent from across the continent.
