Pakistan, Saudi Arabia vow to deepen health sector cooperation

RIYADH, Tuesday, May 20, 2025 (WNP): In a key development aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation in healthcare, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Health, Mustafa Kamal, met with his Saudi counterpart, Fahd Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel, in Riyadh on Tuesday.

The meeting, held in the Saudi capital, underscored the deep-rooted brotherly ties between the two nations and signaled a shared commitment to strengthening partnerships in health-related domains.

Discussions between the two ministers focused on expanding technical collaboration, with particular emphasis on joint initiatives in vaccine production and telemedicine — sectors both sides view as critical for the future of healthcare delivery.

Minister Kamal conveyed Pakistan’s appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued support and constructive role in enhancing the country’s health infrastructure. He also highlighted the importance of sustained bilateral engagement to improve public health outcomes.
