ISLAMABAD, Saturday, December 6, 2025 (WNP): Pakistan underscored its commitment to strengthening the regulatory framework for digital assets as Binance’s top leadership, including Global CEO Richard Teng, held high-level meetings with the country’s political and military leadership in Islamabad on Saturday.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir — Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) — participated in the discussions, signaling the government’s seriousness in shaping a secure and future-ready digital economy.
According to officials, the meeting focused on Pakistan’s evolving financial technology landscape, opportunities for digital innovation, and the government’s resolve to ensure transparent, well-regulated digital asset markets that safeguard investors and national interests.
The visit by Binance’s senior executives marks a significant moment in Pakistan’s engagement with global fintech platforms, as the country aims to modernize its financial ecosystem and align with international compliance standards.
Government representatives reiterated that Pakistan welcomes responsible digital innovation while prioritizing strong oversight to counter financial risks and enhance digital security.
Binance’s leadership appreciated Pakistan’s policy direction and expressed interest in expanding cooperation to support safe and compliant digital asset adoption.
