Pakistan reaffirms solidarity with Iran, pledges stronger bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD, Thursday, March 26, 2026 (WNP): Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam called on Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Thursday to discuss the evolving regional situation and matters of mutual interest, with both sides reaffirming commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the federal minister expressed deep grief and extended condolences over the reported martyrdom of Ali Khamenei, as well as the significant loss of life and property in recent developments.

He said the people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with Iran, paying tribute to the resilience and courage demonstrated by the Iranian nation over the past weeks.

“The hearts of the entire Muslim Ummah beat in unison with Iran,” the minister said, conveying goodwill and expressing hope for a brighter future for the brotherly country.

Ambassador Moghadam thanked the minister for his message of condolence and appreciated the support extended by the Pakistani nation. He expressed confidence that Iran would overcome current challenges and emerge stronger.

The meeting also featured detailed discussions on bilateral cooperation, including trade and connectivity. Both sides agreed to enhance collaboration across various sectors and to promote greater economic and infrastructural linkages.

The talks concluded with a shared commitment to deepening Pak-Iran ties and working jointly for regional stability and prosperity.
