ISLAMABAD, Saturday, August 16, 2025 (WNP): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Saturday reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening political, economic, and cultural cooperation with Bangladesh.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mohammad Iqbal Hussain Khan, where the two sides discussed bilateral relations, the regional situation, and avenues for enhanced media collaboration.
Expressing satisfaction over the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations, Tarar said Islamabad attached great importance to its ties with Dhaka. “Pakistan has given a new dimension to relations with Bangladesh through high-level visits and cultural cooperation,” he noted.
Highlighting the role of media diplomacy, the minister emphasized that cooperation in film, drama, and digital media could bring the people of both nations closer together and promote a positive narrative in the region.
High Commissioner Khan, while reiterating Dhaka’s desire to strengthen bilateral relations, said that the historical bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Bangladesh would always remain strong.
Both sides agreed to sustain the momentum of positive engagement to advance relations in diverse fields.
