Pakistan Air Force renders ceremonial aerial salute to Uzbek President, signalling deepening bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD, Thursday, February 5, 2026 (WNP): In a symbolic gesture of respect and enduring friendship, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) accorded a grand aerial salute to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as he arrived in Pakistan on an official visit.

Upon entering Pakistani airspace, the presidential aircraft was escorted by PAF fighter jets flying in a protective and ceremonial formation, underscoring the importance Pakistan attaches to its relations with Uzbekistan. The formation leader extended a warm welcome to President Mirziyoyev on behalf of the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan, reflecting the nation’s hospitality and high regard for the visiting dignitary.
