Ishaq Dar departs for Beijing on one-day visit to discuss bilateral, global issues

ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, March 31, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar departed Islamabad on Tuesday for a one-day official visit to Beijing at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.

During the visit, both leaders are expected to review the full spectrum of bilateral relations between Pakistan and China, and exchange views on key regional and global developments of mutual interest.

Officials said the visit reflects the close and strategic partnership between the two countries, with discussions likely to focus on enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors and coordinating positions on pressing international issues.

This marks Dar’s second visit to Beijing this year, underscoring the frequency of high-level engagements between the two sides.
