ISLAMABAD, Friday, April 24, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar received a telephone call on Friday from the Foreign Minister of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, during which both leaders exchanged views on regional developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
According to official sources, the two sides discussed the prevailing ceasefire situation and Islamabad’s diplomatic engagement in the context of dialogue between the United States and Iran.
During the conversation, Ishaq Dar underscored the importance of sustained dialogue and constructive engagement to address outstanding issues, emphasizing that such efforts were essential for promoting regional peace and stability at the earliest.
Foreign Minister Araghchi appreciated Pakistan’s consistent and constructive role in facilitating diplomatic engagement, acknowledging Islamabad’s efforts in supporting dialogue between the concerned parties.
Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact to further strengthen cooperation and coordination on matters of mutual interest and regional importance.
