ISLAMABAD, Sunday, December 21, 2025 (WNP): Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, on Sunday welcomed the flight of President Asif Ali Zardari through Iranian airspace, describing it as a symbol of the deep-rooted friendship and mutual respect between Iran and Pakistan.
In a statement, the Iranian envoy expressed appreciation for the goodwill message conveyed by the Pakistani President, calling it a thoughtful and gracious gesture that reflected the enduring bonds of solidarity, fraternity, and close cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
“We have the immense honor to warmly welcome the flight of the Honorable President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan through Iranian airspace,” Ambassador Moghadam said, adding that such gestures underscored the longstanding relationship between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
He reaffirmed Iran’s firm commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and elevating relations to new and higher levels, emphasizing that both countries shared common aspirations for peace, stability, development, and prosperity across the region.
The ambassador noted that Iran and Pakistan would continue to work closely to promote regional well-being and enhance collaboration in areas of mutual interest, reflecting a shared vision for sustainable growth and regional harmony.
