TEHRAN, Monday, January 12, 2026 (WNP): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran summoned the ambassadors of the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and France on Monday, presenting them with documented footage of violence committed by rioters during recent unrest.
The meeting came in response to statements from these countries expressing support for the protests, which Tehran described as exceeding the bounds of peaceful demonstrations and amounting to organized sabotage.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that political or media support for the rioters constitutes unacceptable interference in the country’s internal affairs.
Officials urged the ambassadors to relay the evidence directly to their respective foreign ministers and requested the withdrawal of any statements backing the demonstrators. Tehran stressed that safeguarding national security and public order is paramount, and any external involvement in the ongoing situation undermines Iran’s sovereignty.
The move highlights Iran’s firm stance against foreign interference amid ongoing efforts to restore stability following recent protests.
