ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, April 8, 2026 (WNP): Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, in a telephone conversation with Field Marshal Seyed Asim Munir, appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role in ongoing efforts aimed at ending the war and reinforcing peace and security in the region.
During the call, the Iranian foreign minister commended Pakistan’s continuous and effective diplomatic engagement, particularly its contribution toward achieving a ceasefire and de-escalation of tensions.
He acknowledged Islamabad’s proactive stance in supporting regional stability, emphasizing that such efforts are vital for restoring lasting peace and preventing further escalation.
The interaction reflects the growing coordination between the two countries on key regional developments and underscores the importance of sustained diplomatic initiatives to address ongoing conflicts.
