PESHAWAR, Monday, March 30, 2026 (WNP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi held a meeting with Muhammad Israr Madani, head of the International Research Council for Religious Affairs (IRCRA), at the Governor House, where they discussed matters of mutual interest and ongoing initiatives.
During the meeting, both sides appreciated the success of IRCRA’s religious diplomacy programs conducted in China, Indonesia, and Afghanistan, terming them significant steps toward promoting interfaith harmony and international engagement.
They agreed to further expand religious and cultural diplomacy initiatives to South Asia and other regions, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation among nations.
The discussion also focused on highlighting Pakistan’s global role in mediation, diplomacy, and negotiations for conflict resolution, particularly in the Middle East. Both leaders exchanged views on developing a comprehensive strategy in this regard.
It was also agreed to organize a conference at the Governor House under the theme “Dialogue between the State and the Public,” with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to attend as the chief guest.
Osama Ajmal Qasmi, a member of the religious diplomacy program and head of the Pakistan Peace Council, was also present during the meeting.
