RAWALPINDI, Saturday, December 13, 2025 (WNP/ISPR): Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), visited the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons on Saturday to review operational preparedness and assess ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening combat readiness.
During the visit, the Field Marshal was briefed by formation commanders on the security environment, operational readiness, and training posture.
He observed a field training exercise and inspected advanced simulator-based training facilities, appreciating the high professional standards, realism, and effectiveness of the training being conducted.
Emphasizing the evolving nature of modern warfare, the COAS and CDF underlined the critical importance of technological adaptability, noting that contemporary conflicts demand agility, precision, enhanced situational awareness, and swift decision-making at all levels.
Interacting with officers and troops, Field Marshal Asim Munir commended their high morale, discipline, and unwavering commitment to national defence. He reiterated that the Pakistan Army remains fully prepared to respond to both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies, and divisive forces seeking to undermine national stability.
The Field Marshal reaffirmed the Army’s focus on rigorous, mission-oriented training to ensure operational excellence and readiness across the full spectrum of threats.
Earlier, upon his arrival at Gujranwala, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was received by the Corps Commander Gujranwala.
