Ethiopian envoy lauds Pakistan for honouring his diplomatic journey with national TV documentary

ISLAMABAD, Friday, October 24, 2025 (WNP): The Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Pakistan, Jemal Beker Abdula, has expressed his deep appreciation to the Government of Pakistan for commissioning and broadcasting a special documentary highlighting his successful diplomatic tenure in the country.

The documentary, titled Ethiopia–Pakistan Diplomatic Journey, was aired on Pakistan National Television, chronicling Ambassador Beker’s role in advancing bilateral relations and fostering cooperation between the two nations during his tenure.

In a statement, Ambassador Jemal Beker extended heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Government of Ethiopia and himself, praising Pakistan’s gesture as a “lifelong gift” that reflects the strong bonds of friendship and mutual respect between the two brotherly countries.

He conveyed special thanks to Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Heritage, Attaullah Tarar, for his initiative in commissioning and facilitating the production of the documentary. “Minister Tarar’s efforts made this memorable tribute possible — a lasting symbol of goodwill and partnership between Ethiopia and Pakistan,” the ambassador noted.

Ambassador Beker said the documentary vividly depicted the broad-based engagement and strategic partnerships that opened a new era of cooperation between Ethiopia and Pakistan across diverse fields. He described it as a “symbol of the shared aspirations of two ancient civilizations united by friendship and vision for a better future.”

He also expressed profound gratitude to the Government and people of Pakistan for their support, hospitality, and collaboration throughout his diplomatic mission, which he described as “memorable, productive, and deeply rewarding.”

Concluding his remarks, Ambassador Beker reaffirmed his belief in the enduring strength of Ethio–Pakistan relations, saying, “Long live Ethio–Pakistan friendship — Dosti Zindabad!”
