ABU DHABI, Friday, December 12, 2025 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has reiterated Dubai’s enduring philosophy of shaping the future through foresight, innovation, and collective responsibility, emphasizing that progress is achieved by action taken today rather than by waiting for tomorrow.

In a reflective message highlighting the UAE’s development journey, Sheikh Hamdan said Dubai continues to follow the visionary path laid down by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, guided by a belief that the future is something to be actively created. He recalled the far-sighted leadership of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who famously stressed the importance of planning not just for years, but for generations ahead.

“The foundations of Dubai’s global rise were laid by leaders who looked 50 years into the future,” Sheikh Hamdan noted, underscoring that long-term thinking has been central to the emirate’s transformation into a global hub for trade, innovation, and opportunity.

He emphasized that Dubai’s success has been driven by a shared national vision, where every segment of society plays a role in progress. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, building the future in Dubai is not a slogan, but a sustained national commitment rooted in clear planning, decisive leadership, and collective effort.

The remarks reflect the UAE’s broader development approach, which prioritizes strategic foresight, human capital, and innovation to ensure continued prosperity and global relevance. As Dubai advances its ambitions across economic, technological, and social sectors, the leadership’s message reinforces a people-centric vision in which progress is shaped by unity, responsibility, and an unwavering focus on the future.
