Dar urges swift action to advance Pakistan–Türkiye strategic partnership

ISLAMABAD, Friday, August 8, 2025 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday underscored the urgency of expediting the implementation of agreed proposals and development projects under the Pakistan–Türkiye partnership, stressing coordinated efforts across ministries to deliver timely results.

Chairing a high-level meeting of the Committee on Enhancing Pakistan–Türkiye Bilateral Engagement, Dar reviewed progress in key areas of cooperation, including economy, trade, industry, education, health, energy, defence, infrastructure, and connectivity.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s resolve to deepen its strategic ties with Türkiye, the deputy prime minister called for translating commitments into concrete outcomes.

“It is imperative that we move swiftly to turn our shared vision into tangible achievements. Pakistan remains fully committed to expanding multifaceted cooperation with Türkiye for the mutual benefit of our two brotherly nations,” he said.

The meeting was attended by the Foreign Secretary, as well as the Secretaries of Economic Affairs, Health, Water Resources, Petroleum, and Power, along with senior officials from relevant departments.
