ISLAMABAD, Monday, May 4, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation late last night with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi, discussing the evolving regional situation and Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts for peace and stability.
During the call, both sides exchanged views on key regional developments, with a particular focus on efforts aimed at de-escalation and promoting stability.
The Iranian foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and its sincere mediation efforts between the concerned parties.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s position, Dar underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path toward resolving disputes and achieving lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.
